Our Story

My story begins as an adolescent in middle school.  I had gone to school that day wearing a tank top and within the first hour a boy picked on me for not shaving my armpits. Being an extremely shy person I was mortified and embarrassed beyond measure.  That very morning I actually had shaved my armpits. I am fair-skinned and have dark dark brown hair, so even after shaving you could see the roots of my hair like a 5 o’clock shadow.  I never wore a tank top again….

 In my early 30’s after going through some awful life troubles, I decided to do something for myself.  I took my tax refunds and searched for an electrologist to hopefully get rid of my excess hair for good.  I did not even know if it would work but I decided it was worth a try. Going through the phone book, I found Wendy Tony and made an appointment.  Wendy was kind, caring and sympathetic.  After looking at my problem areas and finding that I had New York City under my arms and a bikini line just as populated that traveled down my legs, She told me that it would be a long haul but together we could succeed. 

 After my first appointment, I found that I was both elated and relieved that my hair would eventually be gone.  My self-esteem was beginning to rise.  I started researching electrolysis more and stumbled upon a school in Tewksbury, MA.   At the end of my second appointment, I asked Wendy what she thought of me possibly going to school to become an electrologist like her.  She was very excited and asked me what made me think of it.  I told her I wanted to help people feel better about themselves, just like she was helping me. I also told her that if this process was helping my self confidence as someone who could hide their hair, I could only image how much it would change the lives of people who could not hide their hair problem.  Wendy encouraged me to begin training and she was my support system throughout school. Wendy Tony has sadly moved away from us.  In her departure, she has entrusted me with her clients’ care which I am eternally grateful for.

Now my journey is merging with yours.  I hope that we can enjoy the time we share together as we work as a team to eradicate your unwanted hair.  My goal is to help you feel confident and comfortable with yourself.  No more hair getting in the way of your life and your happiness.
