What is electrolysis?

Electrolysis is the only FDA approved method of permanent hair removal. Also note that Electrolysis is not laser hair removal, it is needle electrolysis.

What kind of equipment is used in electrolysis?

There are several different electrology machine manufacturers. The equipment in the office will consist of the electrology machine, an ultrasonic cleaner, and a sterilizer.

How do you choose an electrolysis technician?

When choosing an Electrologist, if you live is a state requiring a license, be sure they are licensed. If a license is not required, ask about their education. Research their reviews on the internet. Hair removal often isn’t talked about among friends and family, but you may be able to ask someone for a suggestion. You can also ask for client endorsements. Ask about sterilization procedures. A professional electrologist will always offer a free consultation to answer all your questions and assess your individual needs. During that consultation, ask about their success and about some hard cases that they have faced. Consider it an interview.

How many electrolysis treatments will I need?

When preparing for your electrolysis treatments know that the length of time, and number of treatments required will vary depending on the amount and strength of the hair and the desired results. Corinna will work with you to understand the process and outline a more specific treatment plan.

Yes, with the reccommended treatment program electrolysis will lead to permanent hair removal.

How much does electrolysis cost?

The cost of electrolysis varies depending on the size of the area being treated and the characteristics of the hair. Appointments are booked and billed in 15-minute intervals. Corinna will work with each client to customize a treatment plan.

How do I get ready for my electrolysis appointment?

Once you decide to begin electrolysis treatment, we recommend that clients stop tweezing and waxing so the hair can be present during the procedures so it can be removed. Clients should also arrive in comfortable clothing, and do not wear any make up or other skin care products so you arrive with clean skin. Always drink plenty of water before and after your treatments.

Is electrolysis painful?

Everyone has a different pain tolerance but it is much more tolerable than people think.

How old do you have to be to get electrolysis?

We treat patients of all ages. If you have a daughter who is considering electrolysis she should be a year past her first menstrual cycle.

Is electrolysis just for women?

Electrolysis is not just for women. I have worked with many male clients who want to achieve lasting hair removal. Everyone is welcome. LGBTQIA friendly.

Is electrolysis for all skin types and colors?

Yes, electrolysis can be used on all skin types and skin colors.

How long are electrolysis appointments?

The duration of your electrolysis appointment will vary based on the location and characteristics of the hair being removed. The minimum appointment time is 15-minute intervals, and booked and billed in 15 minute intervals.

How long does an electrolysis treatment program last?

The duration of your electrolysis treatment plan will vary based on the location and characteristics of the hair being removed. It is more important to be consistent with your hair removal treatment, even if it is just 15 minutes a week. I will work with each client based on budget and availability to help them achieve their desired results as quickly as possible.
